Darrel Ralph Designs is a family owned and operated business. Embodying that philosophy, my step-son Ryan Bailey, works in my shop under my direction making sheaths, running machinery, sawing out knife parts, assisting with some assemblies, and performing other routine chores. Ryan also runs our contract manufacturing section of the business. We make some parts for knifekits.com here and other items not related to the knife industry. I employ a knife maker apprentice also. Even my 9-year old son, Ian, has been known to heft a broom around the shop. With all of the above disclosed in writting, one thing that you can be sure of. When your knife leaves my shop it will be of the quality that I expect you have come to trust in Darrel Ralph Designs. Your knife will be built for you to your specifications at the quality level that you will be proud to own. We build the knives one at a time.
